Short answer: Trains stop around midnight, but you’re not stuck: late-night buses to Shinjuku/Ikebukuro run until ~2:20am (~¥2,800), taxis run 24/7 (~¥6,000–10,000 to central Tokyo), and Terminal 3 stays open overnight if you’d rather wait.
Last trains from Terminal 3 (double-check your date):
- Tokyo Monorail — last departure ~23:44 → Hamamatsucho (~19 min)
- Keikyu Line — last departure ~23:48 → Shinagawa (~20 min)
After the trains stop:
- Late-night bus to Shinjuku & Ikebukuro: departures around 0:20 / 1:00 / 1:40 / 2:20am, about ¥2,800. Buy at the arrival lobby counter/machine.
- Taxi — 24/7. Central Tokyo runs roughly ¥6,000–10,000 including the 22:00–5:00 +20% night surcharge. Fine split between 3–4 people.
- Stay at the airport — Terminal 3 is open overnight; there are in-terminal and nearby hotels including capsule-style ones (often full on weekends — book from your phone before you clear customs).
Double-check yourself: bus times and fares change — confirm at the arrival lobby information desk or the official Haneda late-night access page.
Safety note: ignore anyone in arrivals offering an unofficial “cheap ride” — use the official taxi rank or bus counter only.
